On 9th August 2026, Eddie (@frechmanontherun) will step onto the sand at Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia and begin one of the most demanding physical challenges imaginable. His goal is to run across the entire Australian continent, finishing nearly 3,900 kilometres later on the shores of Bondi Beach in New South Wales.

To put the scale of this challenge into perspective, Eddie will need to average the equivalent of two and a half marathons every single day for the duration of the journey. That means his body will face relentless demands day after day, through changing terrain, shifting weather, and the isolation of Australia’s vast interior. It is a feat that tests not just fitness, but resilience, discipline, and sheer willpower.

Eddie is running to raise one million dollars for childhood cancer research and support. Childhood cancer affects three Australian families every single day. For those families, a diagnosis marks the beginning of an entirely different kind of marathon, one defined by hospital stays, mounting financial pressure, and emotional strain that can shake even the strongest of households.

Eddie’s run is his way of standing with those families. Every kilometre he covers is a reminder that they are not facing this alone, and every dollar raised brings real, tangible support to children and families navigating one of the hardest chapters of their lives.

We are proud to be playing a part in making this mission possible. Eddie collected his Mitsubishi Triton from our Wayville showroom, a vehicle that will support his crew throughout the crossing, carrying supplies and helping keep the entire operation running smoothly across some of the most remote stretches of road in the country.
